T/S Ophelia



Ophelia, you're breaking my heart ... (to the tune of Simon & Garfunkel's song) ... my "confidence daily" says you shouldn't be much to worry about, though Saturday going into Sunday 9/24-9/25 will probably be windy in the USVI, gusting to the mid-50's based on current projections. 'Not looking a whole lot different than the track for T/S Maria did two weeks ago (post below).

Sleepless on the East Coast

A weakened Category 1 Irene may be some good news for everyone bracing themselves, watching and waiting, from the Carolinas thru New York and the northeast States.

Mike Prangley's weather blog also describes a slight storm track shift to the east --- also good news.
